They're round pieces of metal which would work GREAT if they weren't held to the rack by metal pins. The metal pins stick out of the gliders and SCRATCH and TEAR your felt. The gliders are supposed protect your felt NOT MESS IT UP! Great idea but POORLY executed.

Our son was 1 1/2(almost 2) and was able to swim around by himself in our pool(not unattended mind you)without us having to hold him. And the way it straps on the body, still allows him to keep his head above water but move his arms & still kick by himself. You can remove the pads which works for all weights. We were very happy with this product. BTW-He did not NEED the noodle in this video.

The only drawback is that we have a pebbletec pool with a floor cleaning system and when it goes on at night it moves the mosiac around because of the floor jets. It will probably work great if someone didnt have that type of pool system. So what we do is use it when we're having parties and it looks great.

The second day at the beach, I noticed rust already forming on the metal. The big wheels make it easier to pull in deep loose sand, but definately not easy. By our last day at the beach (7 days), one of the front wheels broke, and I noticed a hole in the netting. So maybe they could improve on the quality, but the idea is good, and it definately made our trip much easier.

I absolutely cannot purchase a swimsuit off the rack at any store. They're few suits designed for tall girls

(More customer reviews)I bought this to use in my backyard pool. My pool is medium-sized and kidney shaped. The suction cups stick to the border tiles (the ones inside the pool at the upper edge) and hold very well. Since my border tiles are not smooth, I had to use the enclosed kit to adhere the four, clear plastic plates to my border tiles. It was super easy and everything you need is included in the kit. The plates are very thin and are not noticable once they are installed. I have really enjoyed having the ability to swim in place instead of making a lot of short laps over and over. I love that the inflatable belt lets you swim face down or face up, just by turning the belt around. The wrist and ankle straps also provide a good resistance work out. I would definitely recommend this product - it works exactly as it is described and it is so easy to use!

Where we go to use this is at a lake and it is very hot there.I really wish I was able to be submerged further down into the water so I could stay cooler. I also think a great improvment idea might be to ad handles on it. So, it really is about what your preference is as to how wet you want to be and for me it just wasn't quite wet enough.

(More customer reviews)I purchased these racks for a friend of mine for christmas just after he was given a pol table. He had a plastic one the bent when you used it ask I wanted to get him a more professional looking one for his house and these looked like the best deal. After ordering them I received them very quickly even right in tube middle of the holiday season. (I I got them within 3 days a week before christmas!) Everyone was excited about them Christmas day, until we used them, well until we used the 8 ball rack. We went to rack our first game with it and all was well until he noticed that the shaper of the rack allowed the very front ball to soon and move around while racking. This prevented us from getting a nice tight rack. So needless to say we still use the cheap plastic rack to play and the oak one just looks good in his set. The 9 ball rack works perfect. In a pinch or if you're strapped for cash these will work but if you can you should go for better quality.

Aqua Sphere Kayenne Goggle Review

(More customer reviews)I've been a daily swimming for more than 30 years. I've used Speedo Ultra's, Swedish googles, Barracuda salt water goggles, Speedo Vanquishers, and Aquasphere Vistas. I've used each of these goggles for a significant amount of time.
While all of these goggles have something to commend them, none of them does everything the Kayenne's can do. The Ultras will stay on *no matter what*, but they're uncomfortable. The Swedish goggles are weirdly comfortable, but are prone to failure during racing starts or dives (and don't tell me it's because they weren't on correctly--these things failed Michael Phelps at the Goodwill games). Barracuda's are strictly for lap swimming; they are very comfortable, but I lost mine while swimming in surf (and don't even think about a racing start or aggressive flip turn). The Vanquishers look cool, but aren't very good (I used these for only a short time). The Vista's I really like, and still wear on occasion, but aren't good for aggressive turns or racing starts; they are however, a great lap swimming google.
The Kayenne does it all. It is as comfortable as the Vistas and as race worthy as my old Ultras. There are three different sized versions of the Kayenne: Regular, ladies, and youth. I recommend trying the regular's first, unless you know you have a small face.
The fit and finish of these goggles is a cut above anything I've tried. Only the Barracudas (the high end ones) have a comparable level of finish and they ARE very comfortable, but they are extremely prone to slipping. My Kayennes never slip, they never leak, and (when combined with Spit Brand anti-fog spray) they never fog.
I've stopped looking. I hope they never stop making this goggle.

Light weight, softer than plastic but sturdy, and the kids could throw it well. Unfortunetly my son and a friend fought over it and it rippped. I bought this one to replace it recently and it is the same except much thinner and a bit bigger around and so I assume less sturdy. It performs just as well and so far has held up to at least five or six games.

I would like to see a little more HP on this item, but on the bright side it did hold onto the solo knock off cups tight enough to prevent wild throws from knocking over stand alone shots. Depending on how you like to play this can be a good or bad thing. I would skip the purchase of this and if you must have a moving target try another brand or make your own.

New wheels, bearings, axles, and drive axle make a big difference and add up when purchased separately. Kit is complete with all the mechanical parts needed to add life, maybe a couple years, to the cleaner. Way cheaper than replacing the whole unit and now it runs like new again anyway. Fairly easy to install all the parts yourself if you like to tinker with things, just don't tighten screws into the plastic with heavy force. If unsure about the final tension adjustment maybe the pool store/shop can do that 10-minute service for a few bucks.

(More customer reviews)I bought this boat a few months ago, to hit the local lakes and reservoirs, where they dont allow large boats, much less powered boats, other than electric.
I also bought the boat boot, a mini-kota electric motor, and of-course a deep cycle marine battery.
First day out, perfect, inflated easily although, with the boot on, it is alittle of a challenge. We fished all day on it, and within a few minutes in the water, we were landing bass. Now we fish in these lakes throughout the summer, in our kayak, but we cant with our boat, cause its too large.
The sevylor is perfect, I did buy an extra large duffle bag to store it in, it inflates easily with an electric pump, and deflates easily as well. You do need a foot pump or high capacity double throw, hand pump to top it off, the electric pumps wont do.
Holding 6 people is a far reach, it will hold 3 comfortably, 4 tight, six?? I doubt it. maybe 6 children, but I weigh 210, my 2 sons weigh 165 each, and we were comfortable.
The seats are pretty cool, I would recommend the boat boot, it adds extra protection.
Bottom line, its a great boat, for that lake, reservoir. You need a "good electric pump, plus a hand pump, the boot, a motor and a battery as well as the motor mount and a large duffle bag, cause you are not going to get it back in the box.....

(More customer reviews)I have always liked McDermotts, have had a few through the years. I recently started playing pool agaion, and needed a stick but didn't want to spend the $300-$400 for a higher end stick so i bought this one.
It is a very high quality cue, and worth considerably more than its price tag. Solid wood joint, like all mcdermotts, very smooth shaft(After a little slicking and buffing. Hate any finish on any shaft) and a decent tip. It is very pretty and shines like a new penny. I couldn't be happier.

But what I did not like about this pump was the amount of time and energy it took to pump up a full sized air mattress. My son is 9 years old and has more energy than most kids. This puppy wore him out! Maybe I should have given the product another star for that. If you want a basic pump for a few weekend trips a year this is a functionally cheap pump. If you need this for a 3 week trek in Norway as I did, splurge for the battery powered models.

(More customer reviews)This Billiard Ball Wall Rack was packaged well for shipping. There was no damage visible upon removing the packing. There was a small amount of assembly which was easy to follow. The assembly involved attaching the bottom and top pool stick rests. Hanging it on the wall was pretty straight forward. However, one of the metal hanging slots on the back of the rack was too small for one of the screw heads so I had to end up grinding it with a drill until I could get that one side to hang on the screw (that was already in the wall). Because of the hanging slot being so tight, it ended up being a pretty snug fit on the wall so I worry that it will be difficult to remove from the wall to change the batteries or fix the clock for daylight savings time. With that said, it looks fantastic on my wall and is a great addition to my pool table. It holds four pool sticks, a complete set of pool balls (however you have to push one ball to the back (against the wall) because the slots don't accommodate the last ball very well), score counter, and a drawer for chalk or any extra game items that can fit in the drawer. Even with the minor nit-picking, I would recommend this rack to anyone.

(More customer reviews)I bought this model to replace an Intermatic 220 volt timer. I wanted to add the freeze protection. However, when my electrician began to install it, we discovered that the clock on this model only runs on 110 volt, therefore you need a "neutral line" to give the clock only 110 volt, but give the equipment 220 volt. Problem was, we didn't have a neutral line for this and had to send the unit back for model PF 1102T, which is all 220volt.
My electrician said that it was not uncommon for a 220volt outlet to be missing the neutral line, since there is no need to pull a neutral line to a 220 only outlet. I hope this helps someone avoid the mistake I made trying to save a little money by ordering PF 1103T and not PF 1102T. PF 1103T model claims it can run both 110 and 220, which is true, only if you are wired with an additional neutral line in your 220 volt outlet.

Set the thermostat on these solid state units to turn on filter pump (and even heater) when water temperature reaches your preset temperature. Use PF1102 or PF 1103 if you already have a timeclock or don't wish to use one. Use PF 1222 if you wish to control two pumps (filter and cleaner motors). All units are rated for use on motors up to 3 horsepower.

(More customer reviews)I used the ankle version of these all summer long for swimming and they were great. No injury of any sort while using them. However I used dumbbells when I worked on my arms. Big mistake. Because after a summer of swimming every day for an hour or more, I had a rotator cuff problem in my shoulder. So I stopped using the dumbbells, bought these wrist weights and began swimming with them. They work great and now I swim with both the ankle and wrist weights and get tremendous resistance with my swimming, the only thing the swimming experience lacks if you swim without using equipment. I could feel the pain in my neck and along my spine when I used the water dumbbells but, like an idiot, I ignored it. I have noticed no pain when I use these wrist weights instead. One added plus: if you use webbed gloves, and I do, you can continue wearing them with these wrist weights.

SportCount Chrono 100 Review

(More customer reviews)I've used two other lap counter/timers and the SportCount Chrono 100 is my favorite.
Using a lap counter I am able to forget about how much I've done and just swim. Those sessions when I swim a bit, then check the count and find that I've gone two or three times longer than I thought are a thrill allowed by these devices.
Others have criticized the push button -- that it doesn't always register -- but compared to a different ring-type device I used I find it very good. I can definitely feel the click of the button beneath the flexible plastic cover. Overall, I've had far fewer missed laps with this counter than the other type.
The ring-style counter prohibits the use of swim gloves. I haven't tried using hand paddles, although it might be possible to easil increment the ring counter while wearing them.
I have also used a wrist-watch type counter. Incrementing it requires two hands, definitely a disruption of my turning style.
My only complaint about the SportCount functionality is the lack of a pause function. In the pool three times a week I swim a mile to a mile and a half, with a few rests along the way. Since I can't pause the counter, I have to let it record a "lap" while I rest. Consequently, the total and average summaries are innaccurate. But then, I enter all my splits into a spreadsheet anyway, so I just eliminate the rest laps to get my real data.
With regard to reliability, the SportCount falls in the middle of the spectrum for the devices I've used. My old Speedo ring counter (no longer available as far as I can tell) lasted for several years, but I wasn't swimming as much then. The SportCount seems to be good for less than a year before the batteries run down. The wrist style counter from Zoggs has been a nightmare -- the first two were defective. After a recall and replacement months later I got a working one, but its LCD is starting to fade after only a month. So underwater electronic devices are problematic from the start.
The bottom line: If you're a serious swimmer, in training, or like me just a data geek who wants to see incremental improvement for encouragement, a lap counter is a must. And the SportCount is the best-of-breed from among those I've tried.

Thank-fully Amazon issued a full refund.
I have been pleased with most of this line in the past though they are not for any serious long term play.
They can be shortened for tight spots and there is no loud or uncomfortable reverberation.
These use glue on tips so if you want to jazz up the practice cues you can simply replace with new and better cue tips.
The weight is simple to control as the weight of the cue is controlled by 4 external rings the removal of which decreases the weight of the cue.
You remove the center part to shorten the stick.
One strange element of these cues is that they have the male part for cue attachment in the shaft rather the in the butt of the cue.
I had to buy these at a nearby sports store for much more than they were being sold on Amazon but be forwarned about the careless shipping practices of the seller.

FINIS Lap Track Review

Let's start with the programming:
- Metric support is in meters. Fine if you have a metric pool. But your choice for English system is MILES. Miles, really? Gee, my pool is 25 YARDS long. So I am forced to use meters for really no apparent reason. And the difference matters on long swims.
- Getting the timer into a mode to count laps and time (why I bought it) is quite confusing and non-intuitive, and I am an engineer. The unit has a lot of features but all I really need are:
* Count laps and split times (maybe count down laps when I am doing a specific distance.)
* Let me setup workouts with rest periods.
Now I can do the first 2 with this timer, but doing it is difficult, especially once the unit is submerged (using it is worse). I can't do the 3rd (sets with rest periods). It's a hell of a lot easier with my cheap Timex watch.
Now for the mechanicals, which is MUCH worse:
- The unit won't stick to the wall of any pool I swim in (3 different ones tried). I've tried all the attachments including the bracket. With the bracket it floats up even with a significant weight on it. Useless. During every swim I have found the unit off the wall.
I took to putting it on deck and using open turns and tapping it. That *might* be ok if not for the next issue.
- The unit frequently double counts when tapped during a swim. Come on, Finis. Put a little smarts in your software. Debouncing is embedded programming 101. If a 50 meter lap takes 2-3 seconds instead of 40, chances are it is a double bounce. It's not rocket science.
I'm giving up on it and going back to a watch. I think a decent in-pool timer can be designed, but this is not it.

The small O-ring on the connection to the impeller was not included. To be fair, the description hadn't said it was included, but I would have thought it would be (and I think the description really should have mentioned that it was not). Luckily, the O-ring from my old housing was in good enough shape so I just transferred it over and there were no delays. For people who have never done this it is really easy to overlook that there is even supposed to be an O-ring there--and I hate to think what would happen if someone tried to install the housing without it (I would guess either massive leaking or perhaps even breakage).
And just to be crystal clear, I am referring to the impeller connection O-ring, not the lid O-ring.
But all that said, everything went smoothly for me.

Dave Pearson 4 Easy Steps to Play Better Pool DVD Review

I was hoping it would be a full length DVD covering the basics of pool "in 4 easy steps."
The DVD is ~30 minutes long. The entirety of it is 4 drills:
(1) line up the cue ball and any object ball with the far corner pocket and make that shot 30 times.
(2) line up all 15 object balls in a row and shoot them into the corner pockets with no english, then forward english, and lastly reverse english.
(3) & (4) shoot the lined-up 15 object balls into any pocket without disturbing the other balls during the shot, and without touching the rails.
This DVD was tedious to watch. For example, drill (2) above is essentially the same shot 45 times in a row.
In the last two drills the shots are not perfectly lined up. The DVD does not discuss how to aim the cue ball for these non-lined-up shots. There was no mention of the ghost ball method of aiming or the 3 cuts method. There was no mention of bank shots. There was no mention of left/right english. However, there was a long cheesy advertising segment at the beginning for a specific brand of cue stick and cue tip.
This DVD might be useful to someone already familiar with the basics of pool who is looking for practice drills. However, I am still looking for a good DVD covering the basics of pool.

(More customer reviews)I agree with the other reviewers that these are nice table/chair covers for the money. The vinyl seems to be of a good quality and the velcro straps to fasten the cover are a nice feature.
My problem is the sizing. I bought one that should have fit my table and chairs near perfect (120 x 80" with 30" drop). The problem is the product actually measures out to 115 x 75" with a 28" drop. It still sort of fits, but half the velcro straps are worthless since they won't reach down far enough so they can attach to the chair legs.
I would return the cover to get a larger size, but now that the weather has gotten nasty, I'll just live with it.

(More customer reviews)I own this exact stick and it is not the most powerful stick I have used, but its powerful enough, the most powerful stick I have used was a Bill Mcdaniels cue stick. This cue hits pretty sweet and it will last a long time, as long as the shaft does not get to hot, like if you leave it in your car and it heats up, the heat can make the wood swell up and it can crack the plastic around the wood. Also you can make this stick any weight you like the best for your personal feel. The weights sometimes come loose and start to rattle as you shoot, but this is not a big problem at all, just carry around a Phillips screwdriver around with you, so you can tighten up the butt weights if they do come loose. I run the table no problem with this stick and it feels great as you stroke and its got enough power for good draw shots, but nothing ridiculous.

1. The worst part of this item is the slate comes in 3 pieces, so you have to screw all pieces on the base then smooth out the edges, which took our construction worker a few hours.
2. I checked the 3 pieces of slate when it was delivered, and did not find any cracks. But when we placed them together during installation, two cracks, not short were found. It seems that was a returned piece, with glue for the crack. We contacted Amazon and the manufacturer, it could be returned, however, too much effort again since we took all items out of the box, so we did not do it.
3. There were holes on the slate for mounting, however, those holes in the middle of the table will sink the balls. There were no covering materials for the holes, so I had to buy epoxy from HOme Depot.
4. There was not enough glue for the fabrics, so had to buy from Home Depot again.
5. The baskets are plastic, does not fit well, so half already broke.
Conclusion: Overall, it's not a bad design for the price, but you need time and labor to work on it.

(More customer reviews)I have been doing serious water exercise (aerobic) for over 10 years, both shallow and deep water. I have used buoyancy cuffs in the past, without much effect. Deep water became less and less challenging, so I ended up just shallow water jogging, which satisfied the aerobic component of my workout, but my legs needed strengthening.
These really do the trick. I started with only 2 of the maximum 8 weights per leg, and could feel a big difference. My only complaint is that they are a little too large for my abnormally small (8") ankles. Wearing a pair of socks under them helps, and keeps them from chafing the skin. Fortunately, I am an older woman, past the point of caring if I look like a dork.

I have for about a month the table and I can say that is a good purchase according to what you pay. Slate is good and very easy to work with. Instructions are right probably a little short. Everything is included so you dont have to run to Home Depot I would prefer metal in the corners (silver plastic), but it looks nice and I suppose will last with good care. Good service on Amazon side.

(More customer reviews)The storage seat comes as six heavy duty plastic panels that snap together. Once assembled it is strong and sturdy. The lid/seat is hinged and overlaps the box so rain is kept out. The bottom is raised on short legs which also helps keep out moisture.
We use it to hold a large bag of charcoal, lighter fluid, and a small fire extinguisher. All the things necessary for a successful barbeque.
UPDATE 7/8/11 - Over a year later and the storage seat is still going strong. One thing has changed though. We've give up using lighter fluid and are instead using a Weber 87886 Chimney Starter. It works perfectly and there's no "lighter fluid" smell.
BTW, I feel that honest, effective reviews take the place of first-hand experiences that are lacking in online shopping. I've always appreciated the help I've gotten from other reviewers and continue to return the favor as best as I can. It's a little higher than straight across, if you can imagine what I am saying. I would have given it five stars, but the only thing I do not like about it is there is no sort of padding of any kind in the chest area to obscure the nipple, so don't get cold while wearing it :) Other than that, I really like it. The suit runs a little small so order one size up.

The float part for extending your legs will not stay secured under the chair when you don't want to extend your legs. The adjustments for the back support aren't very good. The seat is narrow. The cup holder, well let's just say you want use very much if you have any type of can drink. The jackets that hold the air bags fill with water so when you take out of the pool you have a gallon of water to drain out. Overall I would not tell a friend to buy.

(More customer reviews)I love a good bargain, and the price on these Adidas shoes cannot be beat! I appreciated the fact they came in women's size 11.5. They have a crisp, clean look to them and are extremely lightweight. They fit my rather narrow feet very well and are true to size in length.
The only disappointment is the bottom portion of the shoe, which is about an inch and a half thick. This part of the shoe, while probably intended for and great for balance, just looks rather bulky and adds too much height to the shoe. It did not add the support I figured it would.
For the price, I am satisfied.
